The Bluespotted Cornetfish, Fistularia commersonii comes in a couple of color phases one being barred and the other striped. Interestingly the fish determines its color phase not on mood or surroundings but instead on if it is stationary or swimming. Bars when swimming and stripes when at rest.
The Bluespotted Cornetfish is found in the first 300 feet of the water column usually over rocky structure. They can grow to be quite long. They can be found in all warm tropical waters other than the eastern Atlantic.
